Guerre de Liban dأ©veloppe les mails d’escroqueries

D’abord spécialité de l’Afrique anglophone, principalement du Nigeria, les mails d’escroqueries provenant d’Afrique, se développent ces derniers jours en provenance du Liban.

A quoi ressemblent ces lettres. Celui ou celle qui vous écrit est le fils ou la fille d’une personnalité africaine importante, mais décédée Juste avant sa mort, cette personnalité a réussi à cacher une importante somme d’argent, mais pour la récupérer ou, selon les cas, la blanchir, votre aide est sollicitée moyennant une commission de 10 à 20% du montant total. Jusque-là tout reste malheureusement très crédible, la plupart des personnalités africaines importantes de ces dernières années ayant eu tendance à se constituer, illégalement, un bas de laine important. Mais la chose paraît quand même un peu louche...
L’instabilité actuelle au Liban est propice au développement de ces arnaques en rendant plus crédibles les détournements d’argent.
Parmi les lettres reçues dernièrement est celle d’un Ghazi Kraytem, qui se fait passer pour le Directeur de la chambre du Commerce et de l’Industrie à Beyrouth, ce Monsieur qui réclame quitter le Liban en guerre me propose 20% des 20 millions de dollars pour l’aider à récupérer la caisse avec l’argent (lettre complète de la lettre arnaque en bas).
Ce type d’arnaque existait déjà dans les années 80, à partir de fax ou de courriers, mais le
mail permet d’en réduire le coût et de multiplier les prospects. Malheur à l’internaute qui met le doigt dans l’engrenage. On commence par lui demander d’ouvrir un compte dans une banque où il doit mettre quelques centaines d’euros pour des frais divers, ou de payer des taxes de douane pour rapatrier la caisse de diamants, puis les sommes augmentent petit à petit pour régler des détails administratifs, jusqu’à ce que l’internaute s’aperçoive qu’il file un mauvais coton…

Dear friend,

Pardon my intrusion into your private email with exposure of the content of this very urgent proposal soliciting your unreserved assistance in
consummating a project which requires your
trust-worthiness and reputation of being the recipient of some consignment from Beirut, Lebanon to New York City.

I am Mr. Ghazi Kraytem, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture of Beirut & Mount Lebanon and a Lebanese industrialist, who the
Israeli government considers a Hezbollah terrorist group financier. After the unwarranted and sudden

If you are interested in assisting, you are to forward to me an acceptaqnce letter for futher directives to the the UN Diplomat for proper identification before
handing over the consignment directly to you. Please if there is any doubt whatsoever in your mind; do
not respond to my mail.

I will appoint an attorney for any needed document in your name as the recipient of the consignment and also making my wife and son as my next of kin (beneficiary) of the balance 80% of the funds upon my
death.

I will ask the Diplomat to contact you after the consignment has been successfully conveyed to Dubai the UN Diplomat’s name and Telephone numbers
will be forward to you as well. You are to hold on to the funds after you have deducted your 20% until I am able to move my wife and son out of
Beirut to Dubai UAE
